...I'm back
It's official now because I'm finally posting on the blog! I'm sorry that it's took me so long, and I have no good excuse, just laziness. Or maybe I was waiting for the perfect excuse to write (like procrastinating studying for my mid-terms like I'm doing right now).
So I've been home almost three months now. Everyone at home kept telling me I was exactly the same as when I left. Which is either an insult (wow, you didn't mature spiritually at all), a compliment (you always were so wonderful anyway), or just a comment on how I haven't really changed physically since age 14. You choose.
So on to the big question..."How was your mission?" Everybody hates this question and I understand why now. Who on earth is going to say anything other than "good!" unless you're really arrogant or you came home early for having too many boyfriends (though I suppose you could also use the word "good" to describe that too). Anyway my mission was...GOOD! No really I love Fresno, I didn't die in the extreme heat or suffer too much embarassment from riding a bike in a skirt, and I met some wonderful, amazing, awesome people! (Did I mention the really wonderful, amazing, awesome people? I did. Good. Cause they were amazing.)
Since coming home, I stayed with my parents for two months where I miraculous had three jobs (all tiny ones). I was a nanny, a spanish tutor, and even taught some voice lessons. Calling wise I totally lucked out, I was a substitute seminary teacher! so I got to go to seminary everyday and brush up on my scripture mastery. And I got to take short trips to see my sister in LA and my brother in San Antonio (I remebered the Alamo! and mostly remembered how Miss Congeniality was filmed right there). So all in all I managed to stay pretty busy but am glad to be back in Provo, where I can really stay busy.
So I'm living in Miller Apartments (behind the Provo library), I live with some pretty cool girls (don't worry they'll never be my true roommates), I have crushes on at least two boys right now, and am managing to be fairly social. Oh yeah, and I'm taking two classes. Good life.
love you all,
no longer Hermana, but still your Sister Thighs forever

I really enjoyed your post Sam. It's so good to have you back. I am very proud of you for serving a mission. You are also a very good writer. :)
